Class 1

Welcome to Class 1

We love to learn, read, play, listen to stories, count, fill the treasure pot, and much, much more!

There are 25 amazing children in Year 1.

Our teacher is Mr Booth.

Mrs de Livio and Mrs Morton support us with our learning at various times throughout the week. Mrs Morton also teaches us PE and Art on Thursday mornings.

Our learning journey so far...

We love to dance!

A huge well done to all children in Class One for your brilliant work learning how to maypole dance. Throughout the Summer Term we have been lucky enough to have Mrs Kitson coming in every week to teach us these dances. The children all performed wonderfully when parents and carers were invited to watch on Monday 17th June.

A very special well done and thank you to all the children who came along to our Summer Fair on Saturday 22nd June and performed these dances to a large audience. It was great to see parents and children from other year groups joining in for a dance too!

Take a look at the links at the bottom of the page to find out more about what we have been getting up to in class.

Important Notices and Weekly Routines

PE will take place every Monday and Thursday. Please ensure that your child has both indoor and outdoor PE kit in school. All earings must be removed or covered up on these days.

--- --- --- --- ---

Reading books and Library books will be changed every Tuesday. Please ensure you read with your child and sign their reading record so that we know who has read their book each week.

--- --- --- --- ---

Homework and Maths Games will be sent out on a Friday and should be returned to school by the following Wednesday.

--- --- --- --- ---

Please ensure your child has a water bottle in school every day. It is essential they drink plenty of water to keep them hydrated and ready to learn, especially as the weather improves and the days get warmer.

--- --- --- --- ---

All items of clothing, including coats and PE kits must be labelled with your child's name. This will help us to return any lost items to their owners. Thank you!
