Our Curriculum Intent
At Kirkburton CE First School we aim to provide our children with an engaging, challenging and exciting curriculum that equips our children to become responsible, resilient adults with high aspirations, who will go on to thrieve in 21st Century Britain.
Community involvement is an essential part of our curriculum, with children taking an active role in enriching local events throughout the year., and partnering with local community groups including the Burton Environment Group, Croftlands Care Home, All Hallows' Church and Kirkburton Library.
We celebrate and welcome differences and embrace diversity. We encourage children to question and be curious and have a thirst for knowledge.
Through our curriculum we intend to:-
