The church itself is over 800 years old and it is not always easy to keep on top of the maintenance and building developments that such an enormous building requires. We do, however, endeavour to carry on with services, events and activities regardless of the conditions.
We have several organisations within the church that work very hard to keep the church looking the way it should and this website shows them in action. Worship and outreach is something we are working hard on, to make sure that the word of God remains relevant to the communities that we serve. We strive to be a very friendly church! A great pastoral team look after sections of our community, and through our Meeting Place groups there is great fellowship both with church service attenders and also those who do not attend church but are curious about Christianity or wish a closer relationship with Christ.
ALL HALLOWS - A CHURCH OF SIGNIFICANCE
All Hallows Church has recently gained the status of "A Significant Church in England", which is a wonderful achievement. This means that Major Parish Churches represent some of the most significant and well-loved places of worship in England. The Church Buildings Council (CBC) has identified 300 such churches across the country, which offer different aspects of being a church. All Hallows is a significant historical building as well as a place of worship.
